Dr. Tajalli Saghaie MD FRACP

 

Dr Saghaie is a Respiratory and Sleep physician with significant experience in Interventional pulmonology, diagnostic and therapeutic Bronchoscopy, management of pleural disease, and multidisciplinary care of lung cancer.

 

Dr Saghaie graduated from Tehran University, Iran in 2003. After having worked for a few years as a family practitioner overseas, he had the opportunity to train as a physician in Royal North Shore Hospital. During his Respiratory and Sleep training, he had the privilege of working with master physicians and researchers at Westmead, Nepean and Concord Hospitals. He also managed to pursue his passion in interventional pulmonology (therapeutic and diagnostic bronchoscopy as well as pleural procedures) by travelling and training in centres of excellence such as Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States and Thoraxklinik in Heidelberg, Germany. He is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand as well as the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.

 

Dr Saghaie enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors. He holds academic titles with both Sydney University and University of Western Sydney. He has been attending national and international conferences and courses as delegate, faculty and presenter. More recently he presented at the world congress of lung cancer in sydney as an invited speaker.

 

Dr Saghaie has been publishing in medical journals since 2003. He is dedicated to research and is hoping to focus on interventional pulmonology in his future publications.
